This project was developed in partnership with Lille Design and Lille 3000, as part of the Futurotextiles Awards 2012.
Participants were asked to design urban furniture using innovative textiles. We chose to develop a shelter that could adapt to the city with the changing seasons. We were honored with two awards and had the opportunity to build an experimental prototype to further develop our concept.

Constructed almost entirely from sound-absorbing technical textiles, these shelters spark surprise and curiosity among city dwellers. They become highly sought-after when making an important phone call, taking refuge from the rain, or simply contemplating the city—they create islands of calm amid the urban bustle.
